Overture and Google

I am using overture keyword to estimate how many times a keyword being searched in a month.

I think it is for Yahoo search engine and for google engine, it may be many more times a keyword being searched.

Am I right?

 

for which country you are analyzing?

 

overture doesnt have any option to choose country.

even i thought the whole data is only relevant to yahoo and typically google has almost double the searches than yahoo.

anyone can confirm this?

 

That's right! Overture is for searches in yahoo. You can use this for the search volume in Google:

Actually, if you compare the results of each tool, they can - at times - be totally different. So do not use the Overture tool for Google advertising - it will give you false information.

 

Thank you JDripper for the link. But I only see the volume bar and not exactly the number like overture with google keyword tool. Is there any tool where I could check the number of searches per month in google search engine?

 

some said that times the numbers of overture search by 3 will be google search times. ^^ but i might be wrong.

 

Generally it might be right. But for a particular keyword, I don't think it is reliable to multiply by 3.

 

just some general idea though. i think nobody know exact number the keywords were search a day. ^^
