Hey everyone. I've been working in management for a large hosting company, and my boss recently emailed me a gift card for $100 as a little bonus to my pay. To see if it would work, I put a random item in my checkout bin and applied it. The gift certificate worked fine, but now it's linked to my account and I can't give it to anyone else I was thinking of selling the coupon off on eBay, but I can't because now it's attached to my email. I even called their customer service who told me I can't void that certificate and exchange it for a new certificate number. So I was thinking, in my situation, what's the best way to get the most out of $100 on Overstock? Buy an item closest to $100 then sell it Buy an item of any value, and pay $100 less since I have the gift card, then sell it Just buy something nice for myself I know that the point of a gift certificate is to get something nice for yourself, but right now, cash talks BS walks I need money to pay my already existing bills. So, what do you guys think - what should I do?
Oh that's easy... Use it for either yourself or holiday shopping. I wish my boss would give me a $100 gift card... You oughta be thankful he gave it to you, not complaining about it being linked to your account.
Thanks, that's what I think I'll do. Well, I'm not exactly complaining about THAT, just the fact that Overstock links the gift card to your account without asking me if I want that. Because, what if I bought a gift card, tried to test it out, and then it got linked to my account before I could give it to anyone?
Yeah, i'd use it for buying gifts for others on Christmas. Overstock.com has a huge variety of things you can get.
No need test the gift card coz it will work all the time. And for the $100,i would suggest you to buy some gift to reward your hard work.
