Wow man this thing looks amazing - just logged into the demo account. Because it's focused around both invoicing AND accounting I think it could possibly be a winner. May I suggest that you focus the product as a web based service akin to the ones on www.go2web20.net ? I say this because right now, you're marketing this (from the software box and stuff) as a software product. If you offer it as a super-tight security online invoicing system which doesn't need backups or any additional hardware - I think people will easily recognise that and buy into it more. The competition I was thinking of is: http://www.blinksale.com/home - these seem to offer it more as a service over a product. I would also take away the bonuses (personally think that accountants / company decision makers will just be looking for the app) and I would also waiver the "trial fee". Just sell it like it is - $30 or $19, etc. I say this because, and please correct me if you've researched this, you can make a demo account so they can see what they are getting. They shouldn't need, therefore, converting into fully paying customers with a trial period. I'm not sure what demographic you're aiming at too. If it's the freelancer then you might keep the trial fee, but if it's SME's then they should have enough money to cover those costs I would have thought. Keep me posted

It's a very bold offering. I'm concerned that you'll have a tough time competing against QuickBooks Online Edition, which seems to do much more than your service, at a similar price, and with the benefit of a very well-known brand name. If I were you, I'd add some better accounting features to yours and I'd prepare a competitive analysis grid that highlights the advantages of your solution. I used to sell QuickBooks, including the online edition, so I know what folks are looking for in this sector. The biggest "hot buttons" are the ability to access from anywhere and the ease of giving your accountant immediate access to your data. Without full-featured accounting, you can't really promote the second point. Feel free to PM me if you want to know more about my experience selling this kind of service.
