Put your hands up and let us all say no to this menace It has reached alarming menace at 28.3%- it is ruining that much percentage of our earnings And guess what-it is only increasing day by day Kudos to all those researchers at ppc ad companies trying to tackle this menace Suggest measures to tackle this and avoid this in 2008 Mine *report immediately if you know about it-dont think that is not my job
That means 1/4 to 1/3 of the clicks that we are paying for are just paying into the pockets of fraudsters? Doesn't sound very comforting to know that
No wonder Adsense was so much stricter and ban more people nowadays. It is also good in a way, this keep the confidence of the Adwords buyers in the program.
yes that is not very comforting, all your 28.3% of hardwork goes down the drain-so we need to work that much percentage more harder.......so much for hardwork More data about click fraud: *The overall industry average click fraud rate rose to 16.6 percent for Q4 2007. That's up from the 14.2 percent click fraud rate for the same quarter in 2006 and 16.2 percent for Q3 2007. *The average click fraud rate of PPC advertisements appearing on search engine content networks, including Google AdSense and the Yahoo Publisher Network, was 28.3 percent in Q4 2007. That’s up from the 19.2 percent average click fraud rate for the same quarter in 2006 and 28.1 percent for Q3 2007. *The 2007 industry average click fraud rate grew by 15 percent over the industry average click fraud rate for 2006. Q4 2007 click fraud traffic from botnets was 15 percent higher than click fraud traffic from botnets in Q3 2007. *In Q4 2007, the greatest percentage of click fraud originating from countries outside North America came from India (4.3 percent) Germany (3.9 percent) and South Korea (3.7 percent).
I think Google is doing the best it can, as illustrated in the increasing number of banned Adsense accounts. I just hope that these Adsense publishers had been banned correctly and not otherwise.
But what are they including in their click fraud findings and what is a fraudulent click ? Do they include deceptive ad's next to pictures. Do they include MFAs. Do they include arbitrage. Basicly are they including sites that are breaking TOS, then yeah it makes sense, but if it's just clicking own ad's and requests from friends etc. then that sucks.
All the click fraud is exclusively from ppc advertising clicks and 15% of it is generated from botnets
Are MFAs illegal according to TOS of adsense? I didn't find anything on Adsense TOS. blogspot.com is full of MFA blogs which is owned by google itself.
yeah sux. imagine if you are a advertiser paying for 1/3 clicks for FREE. damn, am off to adwords taking my CPC down a bit more lol
It is a great pity, adwords work well for brick and mortar industries, we do have a good yield with adwords, but the fraudulent clicks can actually damage the yield substantially especially nowadays when adwords isn't really that cheap.
Where exactly did you get those figures? Sounds like something from a biased company that has a vested interested in crying wolf. Like some click checking company advertising their service to advertisers.
I don't see cashisfilthitakecheck advertising anything. Also where do you get such notion from? Any tell tale sign from the OP posting?
AS long as there is money to be made people will look for the easiest way to make it and that is through fraud.
that is not an ethical. I only earned $38 from my two sites in last 6 month, but never tried anything like fraud and will not do that, People should workhard on their sites then just clicking the ads.
