Over using Anchor text

    In this forum's case, most people link to "Digital Point" and not "Webmaster Forum." Same goes for people linking to a news site. People are more likely to link to "MSNBC" then they are to "Online News."

    I've looked at a good number of backlink profiles for competitive niche sites. In most cases, their links point to their business name. That is quite common for natural backlink profiles...

    Do this. Don't give more than 2-3 anchor links other then the header links.

    Select your anchor texts based on different keywords and not dependent on a single word. This way you can avoid being ignored for excessive targeting of a particular keyword...

    It does makes sense to use different title for each anchor text. But the point is how many such anchor links should exist on one page. I would suggest not more than 3 with the top link bar.
