I read somewhere that if you link with many other pages using the same anchor text, this could result to OOP (over-optimization penalty). My question is how about google bombing? I know it still works so how can this be different on using same anchor texts?
Their was a new term that I heard on another forum called Google Bowling which means that you point a number of links at a competitors site with the goal of getting them kicked out of the ranking. Personal I think it to do with different IPs that the links come from, if to large percentage of your links come from only 1 IP address then you can get banned (Hence Google bowling) however if the links come from hundered of different IP address then you get a good ranking (Hence google bombing).
Google is smart nowadays. If you're creating many domain names .com, .net, .biz that offers the same content, Google might discard all your websites together because it's an attempt to "spam" Google's ranking.
