My DELL keeps overheating, I got the case busted open with a fan blowing on it. I think I need a bigger fan :/

Ventilation is the key. A bigger fan will definitely help.

I know nothing about Dells. What kind of heat sink has it got?
Take it off, take the fan off it, wipe down the fan, WASH the heat sink. Then put it all back together with some fresh thermal paste.

Dell laptops get overheating. So no more chioce on Dell.
I would go for Compaq or Sony Vaio for my next laptop.

Its not about Dell many other laptops also gets over heated. 1 reason of it is you keep laptop on surface and the fan dosent get proper space to ventilate. I think only soultion for reducing the Heat is use Laptop Cooling Pads

My friend is using Laptop Cooling pad, But still his Dell laptop is overheated. He can't use it on his lap.
But I don't use a cooling pad for my 3 years old laptop still no overheating.
So I do't trust Dell. I heard Dell laptops sale has decreased so they got little worried and were forced to decrease their price.

Not sure if i has anything to do with the laptop brand as I don't use Dell. However, I would advise that you make sure the fan is working well and that nothing is blocking the flow of air. You should also check the heat sink as someone else said. Unseat it and replace it. You can also run diagnosis tools on it to know what the exact problem is.

Is this a standard Dell, or did you make mods to it?
    What's telling you it's overheating?

I heard about laptop cooler which will be placed under the laptop (it will be like stand for the laptop). Try it and let see if it reduce the heat.

I know. It´s hard for us, as the 10 or so times that the Dell service technicians have been out replacing parts has not solved the problem.
