Over doing your forum with ads

    Hi,

I'm just wondering if you would think that using 1 Google image banner ad and 2 leader boards with 4 small ads in them each and then having a 1 liner text ad under each signature of each post is over monetizing your forum or do you think it should be alright. The 1 liner text ads in each post means there are up to 20 per page. The members can still have their signatures active where they can have up to 2 signature links.

So in total there are 1 image ad 8 little text ads in the Adsense units and upto 20 little text ads giving a total of up to 29 ads per page.

Depending on how things go, I may remove the bottom Adsense ad and if it comes to it, even the image ad so that I just have the top Adsense ad, but it all depends on how they perform first.

    What you think?

Just from reading the first sentence of your post I can tell you that you're overdoing it.

I think having 29 ads is too much for one page. I think the max TOTAL in all google ads you can have on one page, including link ads, content ads, and referral ads is NINE, plus two search boxes.
