Over 250 hops daily, no sales

I guess topics with a title like this one are pretty high on the hatelist of most people but I've tried a LOT already and really can't figure why it's not working for me.

My site contains a search engine for MP3 files and shows a clickbank button on every search, on top. This button is very popular and gets over 250 hops daily, it promotes a service for downloading MP3 files but paid.

Obviously, I'm doing something wrong, I had exactly one sale in over 20,000 hops (lots of free traffic for the other party). My site's average ages are between 17 and 34, mostly males.

Is there any other product (type) anyone can recommend me to promote? I have absolutely no idea anymore, and this type of high CTR should be earning me more I think?

    Thanks in advance!

MP3 search engine -> Free downloads to people, right?

Just think about it, who would be ready to spend at least some money on something? Users at your site are for free mp3 downloads not to buy something. So I guess your traffic is pretty useless.

Just my 0.02$, I'm still a newbie in to this, please correct me if I'm wrong!

As badar100 mentioned, mp3 search engine I would assume are geared towards people wanting free downloads... you can always try to put up some adsense on your site, especially if you're getting a decent amount of traffic.

Thanks, I'm still new in this game, but I'm glad I'm thinking in the right way :)

    To author:

You could try putting some e-mail/zip submit offers. They pay for 1$-1.5$ for 1 submitted offer. And hey, it's free for people to submit, they don't need to pay anything. This could work a bit better.

Another thing is to at least capture the name/emails of all of those people that are going to your website.

If you provide a link, maybe there are other suggestions we can give.

Yeah, it seems to me that your traffic isn't in "buying mode." Have you dabbled in other niches?

Personally I'd give ringtone affiliate links a chance from a CPA network like azoogle or neverblue. High commissions and similar niche.

I agree that CPA-offers could be right for this niche. You will find some good offers at AzoogleAds. If this doesn't help, I suggest that you find yourself a new niche with hungry buyers.

MP3 downloads are geared towards kids and tens without income.

It is just my opinion but if you are not converting in less than one in 500 than you are either using methods that don't work or you have picked a niche that is not worth you time and effort.

I agree with what the others have said, your visitors are looking for free downloads - not pay downloads. Perhaps you should try something else that's musically related but not necessarily downloads. I'd just try different offers till I find something that works.

I would definitely try something else 1 sale in 20,000 hops tells its own story.

As others have pointed out it's the product. Most of my clickbank products convert in 12 - 70 hops (depending on the product). My sites get very little traffic, but they are highly targetted.

You could make 10,000 dollars a month if you used ttz media and had that many clicks!
