Is this rate normal? (180K views but only 30 clicks).

I have been with cj for almost a week and currently 0 commission earned (maybe it takes time to calculate things).

In Adsense, I would get around at least 300 clicks for 8K views, the same site.

Or maybe I choose a bad category to advertise? I selected the most related topic to the website (hosting).

    the website is here:

    http://www.Upload4Ever.com

    any suggestions welcomes.

    Peace,

Do you really think that someone uploading or downloading files from your site is looking for web hosting? You're not going to get any targeted ads on file upload sites...

The ads don't stand out. The ads aren't interesting.
Try getting a larger ad area to place your ad... Use a background on the ad, and try getting a leaderboard.

What other types of products do you think will be appropriate?

More attention on the ads. I'll try that.

    Thanks guys,

When you figure out who your customer is and what they want from your site then you might be able to find an offering that appeals to them.

Hi there, 180,000 page views a week is massive,

Taking a guess, most of your human traffic is being referred to your site by people selling their software hosted by you ?

or people visiting to submit software

A lot of your traffic is people downloading who never see your cj adverts, after all , they just click on a download link given to them

Okay, tis all guesswork based on the little I know about download services

I also have issues with impressions to clicks, but we all learning

    Good Luck

This depends on many factors. The most probable situation si that you ads are not targeted.
Also ad placement could be one of the problems.

That is a bad ctr/conversion, rearrange your placement and check you are using the right advertser for your sites niche

You need to change your website design ,a good web design can attract more people and these people will come back again and again to seek for your service.

Put a timer on your website like I have (upload4free.com) forces them to view ads..... so I get about 1.4 - 1.9% CTR

Change your website design, or put some targeted ads.
