last night i check one of mysite on http://www.prmenow.com/ and surprised that i got 1,154,870 backlinks wooow.. this good or not for SEO effect..??
i would have to most definitely say that QUALITY is much better than quantity...just make sure that content related websites are linking to you, and you are linking to content related sites as well.... links are very important in SEO, but go for top links and you won't have to worry too much about quantity.... hope that helps!
Your site has a few hundreds of backlinks according to Yahoo-Powered Backlink Analyzer. Always use Yahoo / MSN for checking backlinks as Google does not display all the backlinks..
Want to see something crazy? I made a site that was basically just for last month, and it got big VERY fast, and is basically dead now. But look at these stats: PageRank 0 Alexa Rank 101,830 Back Links 266,176 MSN Search Results 397 Yahoo! Search Results 1,330,000 Compared to my main site which has been around for years now: PageRank 4 Alexa Rank 320,927 Back Links 1,688 MSN Search Results 883 Yahoo! Search Results 478 I really need to get going on this site. I've been lazy with optimizing it
In my view, Having tones of back-links will only really benifit your site if the links contain your targted keywords within the anchor text.
Plonk your URL on this tool , tells you the backlinks for the engines and other bits and pieces.... For your site: Google: 0 Yahoo!: 199 Msn: 12
Used that tool and put my site's URL and this are the results: Backlinks Google: 3 Yahoo!: 54 Msn: 174 Says my website has a page rank of 2! Whew.. months of updating is slowly paying off...
Ok, anybody doubt about prmenow.com inside the engine, there are many tools, that i use to check my BL, http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker or http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/ you can check linkpopularity too.
more than 1 million? I checked your backlinks and it says that you just have 868 backlinks. 0 in Google
Where on earth did you find that information? I see no (0) backlinks and one page indexed. At the present time I cannot even load that site. You can check backlinks using the link command in G (link:sitename.com) or this nifty tool: http://tools.kingbloom.com/checksite.php
