My question is, if you had unlimited funds, what would be your top 5 project ideas. What would you make on the internet if you just had absolutely no limitations? What crazy ideas (or not so crazy) would you plow ahead with? Here are my top 5 1) Id have a php site built where lonely women can choose pictures of hot guys and vote on them...and even meet them with audio. 2) A hybrid of social networking where the user gets to share in all profits of the site 3) A site where 1000 people with high page rank sites join and backlink together and we all push a site to a keyword like "make money" which gets 3 million hits a day and share the profits 4) A porn site...always liked the idea...never did it 5) A custom built article directory to rival the best...let others build my damn site...why should I do all the work!
1) Maybe. It's been pretty heavily done in one sense or another. 2) Maybe, if you have a really unique idea and platform. I think you'd find that such sites only attract a handful of people, attracted to revenue sharing. Look at Tagfoot as an example. Now they charge to join. Baaaaad idea. 3) Interesting. However, people that have high page ranking sites would already be making a good, steady income. Hmmmm. 4) Meh. As mentioned in another thread, that industry is drying up. I would not put money towards it. 5) If you think you could build a platform such as Squidoo, Hub Pages, Info Barrel, Red Gage and others, this could be a good direction. There are plenty of regular article directories out there that have very mixed results. Finding an upcoming game that will do well, such as WoW, might be a good venture. Have a repository of addons for it. The mobile industry is what is taking off and may be the best chance right now. Do revenue sharing with mobile app programmers and let the users vote the best up to the top. The apps are small so shouldn't be a huge burden on your server. Just a thought.
Good feedback thanks! I have seen the emergence of interest in cell phones, but frankly cant a phone surf the web anyway? I guess they are talking about text message marketing? not sure never looked into it. A popular game or application would be awesome, but Its truer now then ever before, all you need is one good idea.
