Outsourcing specific time consuming work...anyone have experience?

I've outsourced very specific things that were a little too complex for me to be able to do myself without spending too much time on it (like php stuff etc).

But now I'm getting interested in outsourcing tedious tasks, such as link building, and leaving quality comments on relevant blogs etc.

I have heard that for simpler tasks like these, people have been very happy with getting it done cheaply by people in the phillippines (they usually speak ok english).

Does anyone have any experience with this? How much do you usually pay them? If you have a task in mind which doesn't rely to heavily on language skills, I think you can get them to do it for way cheap...

    Does anyone know?

I use to pay a guy in south america $10/day to leave comments on about 50 blogs. But his english sucked and the posts usually got deleted.

So I just started doing it myself and actually had a few people start paying me to do it since I offered it cheap.

The problem with outsourcing to another country is they quality of work can be really poor, especially if it's a writing job. But sometimes you'll get lucky and find a good person to do it for you :)
