I myself have been working as a coder on RAC(and a few more freelance sites) and can acertain the fact that RAC provides the best protection to both buyers and sellers. 1.You can ask the "coder" to provide a deposit which can be reinforced by you if the coder fails to deliver the final product according to the specifications you provide within the timeframe. 2.You can get the coder to sign a NDA (if that is what you require) 3. Incase of arbitration you can take help of the RAC authorities.(They provide an unbiased desicion) 4.Also you get a complete refund of the money you escrowed if the "coder" fails. Thanks Al
Recently I have started getting good projects on Rentacoder and scriptlance.com as well.. So definitely, there is a lot of competition going on !!
i always use scriptlance.com - their staff are v. helpful plus quick to sort things out. i never use their escrow serrvice though, which probably isnt wise, but what the hell.
Since I am coder - they can ask my buyer why he didn't pay me. For buyers: Buyer can receive refund when coder miss deadline. When you post request for bids to RentACoder - you can asks coders to sign NDA:
