What is the best way to go about this in terms of indemnifying yourself against poor work from the other company to which you are outsourcing work? I am taking on a new in-house position that will be very challenging for the first few months, and I would like to outsource all leads (including proposal writing. The whole shebang...) during this time. How should I go about making this deal? What am I looking at in legal fees for a safe contract?
The best way is to find people with personaly and with respect for YOU , YOUR MONEY and theyre own business image!
Who are you seeking protection from? If it's your own client, you can't. Your client is hiring YOU. If you outsource and that company messes up causing you to be sued by your client, that's tough cookies. You could go back and try to sue your outsourcing contact, but you must remedy your own civil suit on your own.
Well don't go with someone simply because they quote you the cheapest price. Find reputable people and make sure you have a contract. Also, it is best to hire someone from a country where you reside. That's way, it is easier to get redress through the courts if you get taken advantage of. Hope this helps.
Don't focus on price, it's not worth it. Test everyone out first and never lock yourself into a long term contract. Companies who believe in their services wont force that upon you. Again, test everyone out. We've hired a bunch of new outsourced people and everyone goes through a few day testing first. Has been painful at first but now we have a lot of high quality people.
