Hi, I have spoken to several UK internet marketing consultants who are wanting to charge around £900 for quality link building, and one of them disclosed that they outsource the labour intensive task to one of their Polish freelancers. Consequently, I began to question why do I need to pay a UK consultant, and just cut out the middle person by commissioning some one in Poland (or India, which I gather is another country to outsource to) to do the work for me. What is the best to a) find a freelance professional in Poland or India to do this work for me and what questions should I be asking to ensure good vetting? Are there any pitfalls? Is there a site where you can invite freelancers to tender for the work I want doing? Thanks Jimbob
You can outsource, but I'll tell you this I'd be careful doing it. You'd probably be best checking out http://www.contextual-style.com which is one of our companies and out of all honesty a big majority of our clients are SEO companies they resell our links on a monthly bases because its very simple for them and the inventory is there.
elance.com, scriptlance.com, etc. Make sure you check out their ratings/reviews and ask them for samples of their linkbuilding work, because some will just submit to directories... Good luck
Honestly - link building is not something I would outsource at the beginning of a project or site marketing. The reason is that you will gain alot of useful knowledge from doing some of the "Heavy Lifting" yourself in the early going particularly. You will also have a much better sense of how to control quality - and control what sort of posts - comments, etc go along with your back link - and WHERE IT GETS PUT. A polish outsourcer to a British consultant sounds frankly like a recipe to not get good backlinks or intelligent sounding comments in useful places. Once you have a very firm handle on it - you can probably design your own back link building templates - right down to a set of posts - and a good set of destination sites. - and execute it quickly - or outsource it directly to a laborer yourself.
You are right, charges become much higher if there is a middle person involved. You can directly hire a person to do so in DP here.
There are also options to hire a part-time linkbuilder and assign and monitor daily tasks - this will give you an insight of what is being done daily. Things to make sure when you hire / outsource-to your link building work to any foreign freelancer: 1) Ask for documental details - Most people do not do this - Copy of Passport, Bank Account details, Address Proof ( Utility Bill ), Verified Paypal Account, SSN ( PAN Card in India ) copy, Driving License ---- Ask for atleast 2-3 of these document copies for establishing trust. 2) Reference Check - Most of these try escaping by making an excuse about signing an NDA - Signing an NDA is always project specific and a reference mail can always be obtained with strict confidentiality. 3)Direct Contact # and Working hours - try and make sure you talk to the freelance atleast once or twice a week during his / her working hours.
