Hi guys, I am currently trying to rank a keyword I am targeting, and one of the results above me is a news.yahoo.com article that has pagerank 0. The Pagerank of news.yahoo.com the domain is 8. I am curious to know what the significane of that PR is in this scenario. Should I only be concerned with the pagerank of the page I am trying to outrank? Or am I wasting my time against a pagerank 8? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Obviously news.yahoo is not easy just like yahoo answers or even Google but if you want it go for it, just go for it, but don't obsess over it too much and let it defeating you get to you down and no the pagerank means diddly squat if you can truly best it then best it.

I have pages above Yahoo and Google and the first time you smash Google down it is a great feeling, then when you do it again and again you know you are doing things right.

I even have pages above Google for searches with Google SEO in the phrase and some pretty good ones to high up on page 1. So pagerank 8 sites ha, they can be beaten even with a pagerank 0 or 1 in my experience, but then as you say the page is a PR 0 anyway.
