Outbound links?

Is it bad to have more than 5-10 outbound links on your site? Should external or internal nofollow be used on them? What's the difference? Will having more outbound links on your site cause you to possibly lose PR?

+rep will be given for those who help the most. Thanks!

I think having more "leaky" outbound links will raise a flag to google bots and maybe get you sandboxed for a while so. Sites that you may be reviewing products you should slap the "no-follow" tag to. I'm only speaking from experience since i learned the hard way of having my blogs slapped 3 times for PR leaking.

What if others pay to have you add their links to your site? As long as they are related, will PR be affected from it? I'd rather not add no-follow to those who pay, otherwise it would be pointless.

if the links are not paid for u can go in for no follow links else this will be leaking ur PR if they are paid for u will have to have the links as dofollow

This is exactly why I use the tool in my lower taskbar called Searchstatus. Every site that I go to that claims to have "do-follow" enabled in comments can be seen and I don't have to waste time commenting on sites that don't give any kind of value for my visit to them.

Outbound link will definitely pass the pr link juice to other site. Use nofollow attribute to prevent passing the juice.

it's better to use less external link. it will effect your pr and serp. if they are so much, google may consider you as link seller. this will decrease your pr
