I notice I currently have more backlinks then my currently competitors but I see that they are still out ranking me in position for certain keywords.. what will help me improve my rank? Time? Build more anchor text with those keywords? thanks.
maybe they are using fresh content to update the website. you can also do so by posting some fresh content on ur blog(if u r using on ur website) there is a lot of factors.
A number of factors, bear in mind that the number of backlinks is irrelevant when compared to the quality of backlinks. Build links from relevant sites Build quality links - if your strategy is directory submissions and/or social bookmarks only then its no wonder they outrank you Anchor text - make sure you build links using your keywords as the anchor text Onsite SEO - have you optimized your site? And so on...... you havent mentioned how old your site is, what your backlink strategy is, nor the keywords so its impossible to say really. If you are up against established sites for competitive keywords you have A LOT to do.
THanks for the replies.. well I know one of my main competitors doesn't update there website and he just has maybe 3 pages on his site, very low content.. My site has only been up for maybe 2 months or so.. So far I think I am building quality backlinks.. right now i'm currently submitting articles to ezine and I am leaving anchor text signature on forums related to my topic. (the forums have at least PR4)
