    Hi Guys,

    Ok, had a really good site for the past 3 years and been ranking on page one of google for my main keyword/phrase for ages.
    About 8 months ago i dropped to page 5.
    As normal i left it for a few weeks hoping that google would push me back up but nothing happened.
    So i re-started my seo.
    I wouldn't say im a expert but i haven't done too bad for 3-4 years so i was pretty confident i could re-climb the serps.

    8 months on still haven't made it move more then 1 page. (page 4 now)
    any suggestions.

    I have to say that because i have always done pretty well i took my finger of the pulse and didn't really keep up-to date in the seo world!!!

    Few days ago i dropped from pr6 to pr5.

    Was thinking about buying some links but with all the 'google link buying' stuff going on i wasn't sure ...

    anyone want to make some suggestions ? new ideas to push the site??

    Thanks

    If you want to post or pm a link, I would be happy to take a look for you.

    Its hard to say based on the info provided, or off the top of my head. One thing to consider is doing some demographic research into what the competition is doing. Tenure has alot to do with things now. Your competition may have been more aggressively trying to rank some things and after time they finally caught up.... That is really just conjecture though.

    Google is going through a PR update, that accounts for the drop in PR.

    New (ish) trends in SEO.

    * don't buy unrelevent back links
    * Social Bookmarking
    * Keywords in H1 Tags

    Feel free to PM the URL to me.

    I think you should use SEO Elite. Not that I have used it, its pretty popular with the SEo people out there....

    Actually I don't rely on using SEO tools.. Organic SEO is still the best.

    BY the way you can promote your site or pages using promotional ads.. Example try gumtree.com

    Social Bookmarking etc....

    Check your title tag and anchor text. All is related your site?
    Use quality content. Low quality content will give the bad information to search engine.
    Do not use paid links.
