Two days ago my webpage got in to the Google index. The webpage is new only a week and a half old so I where pleased that it got in the index that fast. But today when I went online Google couldn’t find it. Is it common that new webpage’s are going in and out of Google index the first days?

The site is in both Yahoo! and MSN search and nothing have changed there.

I have the same experience. Don't worry about it. Just keep on working on link building of your site. ;)

You may have queried a different data centre on the two occasions when you searched for your domain. Try clearing cookies from your browser, restarting it, and searching again - or try the site above that shows you different DCs on one screen...

It's quite normal for new pages to go in and out of the index and can take a bit of time to settle down.

Getting links to your site will help keep it there and get crawled more often.

I tried the site mentioned above but I couldn’t get it to work. I even tried with ww.google.com but it didn’t show anything. Don’t know if I did anything wrong or if it were “out of order” right now.
But it probably is like you all say, it get in and out of the index in the beginning. Perhaps it got something to do with most of my inlinks is directories and therefore it gets an extra “push” with the newest link and when my site isn’t amongst the latest links anymore Google doesn’t rank it as high anymore.
