One of my site disappeared from G, exactly like last week.
2 days out of G and it came back after a while with a better rank.
Anyone else is having this problem ?

    Cheers !

Happened already twice this month; this is very very stressing as you see you Adsense incomes dropping dramatically :(

Same here, google made a rollback on all dcs and showing SERPS from a month ago. I think it's better time to do some online marketing, PRs and stuff as Google is totally unreliable.

I personally consider to move to yahoo or msn for my searches, I cannot find what i've found yesterday with the same search parameters, so what's the use?

I think that's normal, Google just updating its server or famously called as Google Dance, search for that keyword "google dance" for more info.

Hello, you are right and I see how dependant we are on Google. Any mess with the big G, and you almost bankrupt. I am considering on focusing more on Yahoo or even Live, G will normally follow as well.

    Cheers !

I agree with you sasieboy. Fluctuations in SERPs are normal and happen once in a while. If you are banned then your site will not return in google after two days.

I've just seen a huge drop for most of my main keywords on one of my sites - the pages are still there but we don't appear for keywords that we did yesterday. We are still appearing for brand name - anyone else seeing this in the (am in the UK)

Ive been clobbered since Jan 3 ish on one site - 600 uniques now down to about 50. Yet another site has doubled. Nothing done to sites at all.

Happened in Nov/Dec and site came back stronger after the loss.

    Find it all very strange.

indepth, same here in the uk. did u try using the uk filter with the radio button. with that button ticked, it shows some results, but other results are a month old is like a rollback. i also checked with google dance tool, there is no dance between dcs. is there a known dc update scheduled for January? Is this, what's happening?

Yep, I tried with the UK button ticked too but still the same. It's very odd. I've ever actually seen a change in positions at the same time as a pr push - the PR that has been pushed out to the toolbar today is months old so I don't see how it could have any effect on serps, but it seems that the increase in pr has led to a drop in serps - my only other theories are:

    1) There has been an algo update that they've rolled out at the same time as the PR push so that the PR push gets talked about and not the algo update (which is ultimately more important)

    2) We have been hit with a penalty of some sort - and they're saved up all the penalties and released them at the same time as the pr push to confuddle people (don't think it's this site is v white hat - lots of content, natural links etc)

    3) This is just a temporary thing while they update the pr stuff on all dc's and later today I'll see our site in even better positions than before :)
