A Coupon Code! Yes that's right. I love DownLoad Guard. All I did was add a coupon form to my product - with the help of DLGuard - and then I Give my affiliates a $5.00 off coupon code. I put it on my affiliate page. Then they can use it, if they so choose, in their promotions to increase their conversions. It works like a charm. Not only has it helped to increase conversions - but it has also been useful in increasing sign ups to my list.
Interesting, I will give this a try once I get some solid data without it first and compare. I see a few other publishers like forex-killer uses something similar. But with theirs its just for show, whether you enter the coupon or not when you order it, its still the discounted price.
I saw your post over at the Warrior Forum about this. It probably works good because people like saving money. You know those sales pages that have a coupon code right in the middle of it. Like Forex Killer. I'd put that coupon on some of my sales pages. I'm not sure if it helped, but it make sense.
I may experiment, using the on-exit popups that everyone is using. But instead of having the intellichat - maybe offer a last minute coupon instead.
