Ugh. Just checked my page rank today, and saw that it went from a 3 to a 0. Basically this means that all of my advertisers are gone. oh well. Did this happen to anyone else?

Does this mean you were selling links?

No. That's what's so strange! I have never sold pr links, and the only ads that I do sell are for nofollow only.

That sort of thing happens all the time. Google sees the outbounds *regardless of paid/non, nofollow/follow* and hits the site hard. I'd remove your outbounds and build it back up.

A lot of my clients just lost recently had Page Ranks on duplicate content pages drop. If you have the same content on multiple pages or a majority of the content is the same - this could be the reason. Or else if other sites are very similar or duplicate.

this happens sometimes with google. I am sure you will get your PR back in the next update. In the previous update, one of my blogs went from PR4 to PR1 but now it has a PR3!

You're right. I create articles myself. Each time I pay ezinearticles to spread links, my article is duplicate by hundreds, making my own site sinking in ranking...

Most of people I've seen have reported a drop in their PR. A very few have risen!

Here's a thread where someone's PR has risen. Besides being a bid directory, it is using a dropped domain, and he also indicated he bought links! LOL

I do have a site with a raise, from PR2 to PR3. Since, it lost 5 places on google SERP for the same keyphrase. From #8, it's on the second page at #13. I lost half of the organic traffic now. Thanks PR ;)

PR is meaningless. You shouldn't lose your advertisers because of a drop in PR if they are buying nofollow links.

Concentrate on relevant traffic and not PR.

Yeah, but you still have the issue of PR, no one's going to buy links from you unless you have the PR they want. Just look at the Link Sales forum.

I found Google act strange regarding updated PR.
Some of my friends' blog which was previously PR3 is now dropped to PR0
But, one blog that I started for my friend which aged less than 2 months and has posts less than 30 got boosted up to PR3.

Well, I agree PR is meaningless when you don't really into monetizing your blog, though.
