Others can't see changes made to my site

I've been editing my website, hosted by Godaddy, and it seems that others haven't been able to see my changes. I've been updating links and webmasters have been emailing me saying they don't see their links. I also tried an automated link exchange and it couldn't find their link either. It's strange because I see their link just fine. It's an active link that takes me right to their site. They've even sent me screenshots of my site without their link. I downloaded another browser and I get the same results, I see it, they dont. I contacted Godaddy support, but they weren't much help. They told me to clear my cache. I told them my browser wasn't the problem. Anyways, if anyone can offer any help on this, I would appreciate it.

There are problems with cached pages. Sometimes your visitors need to clear their browser's cache to see the changes made.

This is how you do it in Internet Explorer
    Go to Tools.
    Select Internet Options.
    Click on the General Tab.
Click and Delete Files... found in the Temporary Internet files section.
Refresh the page for the new changes to take effect.

You should use SQL database, and your contents should go there, saved there.

Can you guys see the link titled "Poker Bonus Codes" on http://www.bigtourneys.com/links2.php?
When I edit my pages, I just save them in the file manager so that they go live. I don't think I'm using the SQL database.

It seems that it is all about the cached page. Maybe your people looking at the site after viewing it before need to clear their cache and temp internet files.

This could be the problem because with having your site still in their cache, they are pulling up old version of the site, because their browser seems to think it already has the page saved in temp storage so it doesn't download the new files.

Also, if they don't clear their cache they can always hit F5 or refresh to refresh the page and download the new files to their stoarge and cache and this should fix the problem as well.

in your public_html folder on your ftp you will sometimes have a 'cache' folder - go in here and delete the contents - this should resolve the problem. its either this or there might be an IP routing issue - these happen sometimes.

F5 (refresh) usually works as well

CTRL-F5 is more reliable as it forces the browser to reload everything from the server - pressing F5 on its own will effectively be like viewing the page as normal as it will pull the site from the cache if it's there.

This happened to me with a site hosted with GoDaddy.com about a year ago. I called GoDaddy.com for help, and they told me that all their servers don't update at once. So, basically, what I was seeing (updates I made) was completely different from what my client was seeing across town (unchanged site). They told me to wait 24 hours and all would be fine. It was better the next day, but it took almost 24 hours to update.

It's never happened with any other site I've worked on; or any other host I've worked with.
