    My site competes in an industry with a variety of stemming variations on the main keyword phrase.

    Examples:

    kword1 ing ending kword 2 (singular or plural)
    kword1 er ending kword 2 (singular or plural)

    Amongst the first page competitors there is some overlap for both high rankings and high allinanchor for the ing and er endings.

    Some notes about the rankings

    My backlinks for the site are typically with the -ing or -er ending in the singular. I rank first page for all four terms (singular and plural) and first page for allinanchor singular - no ranking for plural

    Some competitors emphasize the plural with 1st page in serps, allinanchor top ten for both singular and plural.

    Question is do others have stemming experience with word endings beyond singular and plural...and do they see ranking overlap and similarity as with singular and plural?
