is it even worth submitting to other search engines? cause honestly, how many hits are you going to get from them
I know Rome was not build in a day. But three years of submitting to minor search engines should have put at least one brick on top of another. Looks like I am still mixing the cement.
Yeah, sure not everybody will gain something right away from it, but if it oneday brought you a client, for which you didn't have to pay, then surely it would've been worth the little effort? Also, you never know how some might grow in the future, so what would happen if a year or two down the line you suddenly gained a handful of clients between their referals? Also, minor SE's are probably mostly still in development, and don't have millionjs of dollars at their disposal, so things might well take a little longer for them to grow.
I stopped submitting to all those small search engines a couple of years ago. It takes way to much time with not enough payoff.
you can submit. but the thumb rule says they should find you on their own. investing time on directory submission and one way links is worthwhile
Seems like everyone uses Google nowadays, I dont even know of any small search engines that are new, they all seem like old meta search engines.
I ususally use google as my search engine, but if i want to find some softwares, i use Qweas Software Search Engine(www.qweas.com), i think it is strangeness to a lot of people, really?
MSN live search has been returning better results for me lately as they are not puting as much weight on .gov and .edu backlinks. I have been beginning to use them much more because of this and I have been very happy.
It depends on target market. There are some regional search engines which can deliver quality traffic.
You call them called minor search engines, but some of the will become major search engines in the future I believe.
