You can also try several other searches in this site here:

    http://www.ez-hunt.com

Just enter the keyword and click any search you'd like

Currently it shows the results in a new window so you can easily escape and search somewhere else, but i will try to add an option to keep it in the same screen, not sure, any suggestions?

This is a great looking (and useful site), but I think the original post was about engines that the person could submit their site to - not just engines that people could use.

There are other search engines but I don't think that they will bring in any good traffic.

SEO takes time, time is money - where can I get the biggest bang for the buck - this is my question. Ending up in search results seems like such a hit and miss case. An idea is to make my site as "Sticky" as possible (build a community); place my site on paid search for a short time to get a large number of visitors. Then building on these existing visitors to get new visitors - word of mouth.

I think that if you add all the other search engines together they will give you about a third of the traffic that google does. Still if you cannot compete in Google and the search term is widely used it might be worth it

    Another big one is Altavista.

Of course, you can post your web site to other web sites with good PR as well. Also, forum sites like this..
