Mac OS X all the way, because it is the best operating system at this hour, even if apple computers aren't the best :)

When I ask for a logical downside to OSX people never answer with anything good. 90% of people who hate OSX are people who have misconceptions about the operating system. For example, the people who say it can't right click. How ignorant can you be?

Also, I hate when people say "I hate mac fanboys. Windows owns". Hypocrite much?

Ignorant is an understatement, more like stupid because all you have to do to achieve a right click such as windows is "Control + click".

What? All you need to do to is RIGHT CLICK. Why would you control click? That takes way longer =/

Uhm....there's a button on the keyboard that replaces the right click? ctrl+clicking does nothing.

Any mouse made by apple in the last couple of years has a right button. On laptops, if you place two fingers on the trackpad and click the button, it is the same as a right click. I have found this to be much more efficient than a "real" right click. Also, the scrolling on a macbook is simply breathtaking.

You can get right-click mice for Macintosh computers.
In fact you can get them (i've ordered one) that has only one click but it can sense the pressure being exerted mainly on the top left of the mouse or the right which it processes accordingly.

I have been using Macs for about 6 months now and got myself a MacBook just yesterday.

With a bit more support for software development I can see Mac OS X becoming the computer of choice to all types of consumer...

The trackpad on a macbook has built in right click. Enable it in preferences:

I don't have a macbook yet. Getting one this summer for university. :)

I'm waiting for them to update them though. Apple said they will be doing it Q3 2008.

    well I love mac
it's look and feel is so connivence
the only down side about mac is.. not too many softwares

like softwares that use to watch movies online

MAC does crashes and Mac is getting more and more visible to hackers and virus
My mac crashed few times when i tried to do some printing
my mac crashed when it send out more than 5 pages of PDF file to my printer
I got so mad and almost smash my mac

but overall it's better than vista i think

I don't understand your argument. There isn't software for watching movies online? Why would you need software for that? www.surfthechannel.com , no software required. Chances are, the software that you are using to watch movies online is spyware. In fact, there's a very good chance that it is.

And yeah, you're right, OSX does crash. I don't think many OSX users would say it doesn't. But it crashes so rarely that it's not worth bringing up. And the best part is, crashes on OSX are to fast. If a program crashes, it closes and you click "Relaunch" and it's back open in seconds.

There isn't any clicking "END NOW" 100 times in a row waiting for it respond. :p

/thread. Nothing more to talk about. Mac fanboys can't admit that OSX has more security flaws than the Windows counterpart.

Vista: don't like it. lame gui changes don't call for a new OS release
OSX: not familiar with it, but open-minded. Some friends really like it
XP: what i use now because it's easy, fast, and stable on my hw platform
Linux: my favorite, but no longer have time for all the learnin' needed to stay on top of it
