I gave my Mac to my wife, because she kept on getting viruses on her PC. Now I'm stuck with Vista but I often use the Mac when she isn't around. - Oops, I posted this from my wifes Mac, so her username was used...

Mac is better, obviously. I tried both Windows and Mac since XP era but I always believe Mac is a better OS.

Windows XP still works great for me. I doubt I'll switch, when I buy a new system. Never change a winning team?!

Yeah, I'm also using Vista, but Mac seems so fresh and better setup to me, I think my next computer will be a mac. Just because I'm sick of windows always having all these background programs and honestly it's getting old to me.

mac os is so much more stable. even though the mac is not as "protected" from vulnerablities it does not crash or have as many issues as the windows family. Having vista on one of my PC's and having a new mac also, vista looks pretty but the engine "control" is just not pulling it's weight. I would want to hope that microsoft gets something out better such as the upcoming windows 7 because mac is going to be entering in the business world soon. just a matter of time.

What do you mean by "Mac is going to be entering the business world soon." and how do you know that?

I'm Using OSX Leopard on my pc its awesome, but even now gaming is something that has its limits, the choices you have are limited, and those who think you can play all games with parallels/vmware are greatly mistaken, its not true, most games aren't playable, mainly because both vmware and parallels only have experimental DX9 support, and they both cannot support shaders, so some games can't even work, on the plus side I can restart to xp anytime to play games :). But so far I can say I love Leopard, and I don't even use xp anymore, very rare.. but its there when I need it anytime. And yes you can install Leopard on PC but you'll have to do some research.

I spent under $900 in total for my system,Core 2 Duo @ 3.2GHZ, 4GB DDR-II Memory, 7600GT, 500GB sata hd, Syncmaster 931bw widescreen lcd, antec 900 case, dvdrw etc... Leopard runs faster on my pc then any other Mac out there currently, I use Xbench to compare against Macbook pros/Imacs/etc.. All Osx games work perfectly..

Is there a guide you used to install OS X on your computer, and is it stable? If so, can you give me the URL, I'm very interested in this.

    Thanks a lot.

macs were always a lot more efficient compared to PCs, however, when it comes to gaming, it's a totally different story.

My advice would be to buy a mac and have winxp running in parall via boot camp...you have advantages of both at your fingertips ;)

FYI, OSX only runs of Mac hardware (unless you make it a hackintosh for PC which isn't worth the effort).
It's nearly the most stable OS ever with no viruses or malwares ;)

This is incorrect. OSX runs on intel based hardware now.

FYI, you can only run one or the other, not both seamlessly. You need to run something like Parallels if you want both OSX and a Virtual Windows environment.

OSX is like Linux, good to do a job, but not to play games.
Well, OK, OSX is Linux (almost) and is better than Linux :D

Vista vs OSX... well, what's the point? They are totally different. Can't compare like you compare Vista with XP :p
