I am not claiming to be the Nostradamus of Apple or any other OS. My responses are all based on things I have read from legitimate sources not from some forum community. However, it doesn't matter. You can enjoy OS X and I will enjoy Vista. Issue over. If you would like to discuss this further feel free to pm me.

I agree that this should be done on a PM. But, I have to point this out. I DO NOT USE OS X! I use Ubuntu. My avatar is Ubuntu, my location is /home/Ubuntu and my signature links to Ubuntu.

I just read the title of this thread.

Ahhhaaaahhaaa haaaaaaa ahahaahaaaaa aahaaaaaaa aahhahaaaaa aahahaaaaahaaa aahaah haaaaa ahaaa haaaaa haa hahaaaaaaa haa ahaaaaha haaaaaa!!!!!!

I use a Mac. I develop on a Mac. I design on a Mac. No blue screen of death. No annoying popups everyday telling me OS X is ready to update itself. No viruses. No trojans. No spyware. Great looking software. Powerful development tools. Web server built-in. MySQL server running with no problems. OMG I can even run WiNDOZE. So when I desperately need to run some lame ass piece of crap software that will only run on M$, I can and then I can turn it off again and be rid of the infection. And for the record, Microsoft Office is up there as one of the worst pieces of software I have ever had the misfortune to use. iWork for me thanks.

Hey, how good are you with app development? I am having mixed luck with cocoa. The batch image resizer I made works like a dream, not so with a certain arcade game sim I made. If you want to take a whack at it, send me a pm and I will give you the general idea :) Even the limited version that I made was a hit with anyone who played it. (Unfortunately, I dont have that version anymore :()

I use Mac right now, but its just because MacBook was the only small, light laptop for the money. OS doesn't really make any difference, you can do anything with XP, Vista, OSX, Linux...

Macs are far more simple than Windows, which helps make them useful for casual PC users. In my opinion, their simplicity is also their downfall, as OS X simply doesn't have the same amount of functionality that PCs offer.

Ever consider the fact that my Macbook can easily dual/tri/whatever-boot OS X, XP, Vista, and any flavor of Linux and do it efficiently? More interesting is the fact that according to benchmarks, the Macbook Pro is the best laptop for running Vista. What did you say about PC functionality again?
