osComnmerce User Help Site?

    Hi,

I am switching my main ecommerce site over to osCommerce. I have a programmer doing the heavy lifting, but there are a lot of things that I need to get up to speed on as a user. Note that I am not a programmer.

As an example, I am having a problem right now setting up Product Attributes and getting one of the drop down menu Product Values to be the default (or top) selection. I have been unable to find a solution or any documentation about it.

Any suggestions as to forums or websites or other sources where I can begin to learn how to most effectively use the system?

    Thanks!

    JR

Thank you. Will check them out. The problem that I am having is that I am not a programmer and it seems like most of these forums revolve around adding code, changing code, etc. Thanks again.

most of the mods aren't that hard to do, just follow the instructions carefully, and always make a backup of the files your going to change just in case something does go wrong. mostly its just find and replace work, you don't actually need to know what the code means to complete the add-ons.

msjudged, thanks for the compliment. That is the existing website running monstercommerce. However, my goal is to keep the same look and feel, as much as possible.

articledirectory, I will take you advice and look a little more closely at the posts (my eyes glazed over the first time) and see if I could make a minor modification, when necessary. Mostly, though, my questions will revolve around using the GUI, tips etc.

    Thanks.
