Any one know where I can get a tutorial on customizing oscommerce templates? or is it pretty self explaintory by viewing the code?
This won't be much help I'm afraid, but may be a lead. I worked with OSc about two/ three years ago and I remember there being a tutorial their forums on how to make your own theme. But assuming that you've already hunted a lot, then that won't be much help?
Hi If its a default oscommerce store the best way to customise the template is by installing one of the osc contributions either STS or BTS do a search on the osc forum. Alternatively if you have not installed the store yet go for one of the modified verisons out there like cre, max etc as there are already modified and come with a template structure. feel free to message me if you need any more help.
ive used STS a few times, definitely makes customising osc alot easier (without this, its a bit of a nightmare to customise)
so the osc sts is a complete mod that changes the code around? I mean can I design the templates any way I'd like?
If your looking to change it your best bet is to look for a template that's close and go from there. It'll save you a lot of work.
