contrary to the fact, compuxp has accused the mods here of not doing there job correctly,i agree he hasnt threatened but he has spoken out.
It is free and open discussion but people shouldnt keep posting lame threads.

Grafstein, since you are contradicting yourself in so many ways, I'll just leave you to do what you will. You are spending a considerable amount of time on a thread you find lame - do you also yell at television infomercials for hours on end, asking someone to turn the channel?

Jaree, I'm not saying I agree with CompuXP's viewpoint - in fact, quite the contrary - I am saying that as he hasn't threatened to attack me with a machete, said my dog is ugly, or accused me of having bad breath. Therefore, I support his right to say what he will.

I am not asking you not to support him or anything like that but you said that he has not threatened or offended anyone so you were wrong. I was offended by his comments and behavior. Anyway you are free to support him :D

Jaree, respectfully, you are misquoting me. I never said he didn't offend anyone. I said he didn't threaten anyone, nor did anyone who took issue with his points (threaten anyone). I don't know if this is a language thing (I mean this sincerely), but you may want to go back and reread what I wrote.

The bottom line, in my book, as long as members steer clear of abusive or threatening speech, it seems to me, go for it. There is a helluva lot on this forum that I enjoy, much I enjoy debating (though I don't agree with my brother or sister fellow debaters), and relatively little I can't stand. That I can't stand, generally, I ignore.

His comments have been offensive, were offensive, continue to be offensive, and likely will always teeter between hostility and apologies in his unique bipolar way up until the time he gets himself banned.

THAT is completely offensive to the person to whom it was directed. I find it offensive and no doubt others do, even though it was directed at an individual

I lost friends and colleagues on September 11, 2001. Many of the people who died at the Pentagon as the result of one of the hijacked planes were people that I personally knew, had worked with, and some were close friends.

Some things are fine for tit-for-tat discussions, trying to rile people and the likes, but that one crosses the line in a BIG way. Somethings you just don't do or say out of respect and THAT is one of them IMO - no different than I would make a "your mama" joke to someone knowing that there mother is deceased; some lines shouldn't be crossed regardless of the forum, category or discussion - period!

Jeeezus - please forgive me. I missed that entirely and I agree. I am wrong. This was a personal attack, it crossed the line, and an apology is in order. I got so caught up in Grafstein's "close for lameness" thoughts that I entirely missed the aspersion Compu tossed. I regret that - that was nothing to be glib about, and certainly accusing a fellow member (Jaree) of shared sympathies of such is deplorable.

    (bow, sorry),

    Paul

Take this crap somewhere else Jaree..
You didnt hear about it because you dont want to.. Its a non-denying fact that Pakistan has got terrorist camps on its soil... and the proofs had been give uncountable times.

The only thing is there is no legitimate Govt. in Pakistan, unless you count Military dictatorship as legitimate..

    Paul,

You've nothing to be sorry for, but I appreciate your comments all the same.
I can't blame you for an oversight; I wouldn't hold it against you.

I was merely pointing out the comment in case others overlooked it also, and wasn't directing any anger or disapproval towards anyone other than against the statement and its poster.
