basically ive ran a website selling a certain products for 6 months

problem is its a basic html website with no check-out
all sales are done via the customer having to ring us or email us
then we generally only been accepting cheques kinda a pain for my customers and myself

ive recently been selling the same product on ebay - and tbh with paypal checkout - its all so much easier.

and im just thinking about creating a store - so its easier for my customers which im in turn will help my sales.
and really if it doesnt work out then i can switch back no problem.

and im looking for a free script and first thing that came up was

just wondering what you guys here at DP think of this - is it any good or to buggy . . . .

also by having a store i can maybe sell some other products aswell im not sure yet but i jsut want to expand or atleast try it

oscommerce is complete crap and largely relegated to noobs.

Alternatively you can try out zencart.

 

I also suggest magento.

 

Why don't you use paid shopping cart such as http://livecart.com .
Its interface is more user friendly than the Oscommerce script.

 

CubeCart is easier to work with than eCommerce and it is also free.
