yes you open an account. Fill out the sender's details and send. Xoom would sent the money to recipient and provide tracking number too. There are fees however .. for the process. I guess for 500$ it use to be 8$ something. Don't know what is the rate currently.
Just a note, because of the relatively low rate I offer right now, xoom.com fees should be shouldered by the client. Paypal payments are accepted by xoom.com Second and third slot filled. I'm still taking orders.
Xoom charges $8 for a payment transfer of $25. This is shooting up prices for your service. For example if I order 10 500 word articles, it costs me $35 + $8 = $43. Why dont you accept PayPal and then transfer it to your Xoom account? Everyone will stand to gain. You will get more orders and the buyers will save $8 each. Your consolidated costs will also be quite low. If you are Ok with accepting PayPal, I have an order of 10 500 articles for you.
Xoom doesn't charge $8 for a payment transfer of $25, it only charges you $5. My regular rate is $0.01 per word. For example, you order 10 500-word articles, that would be $50. With my promo, you only get it for $35 + $5 for xoom.com fees. I think it's a relatively good offer. Otherwise, if you want to pay through Paypal, my current rate is $0.01/ word.
