Organization tips for bigger eCommerce businesses?

So a common thing I've seen a lot of businesses struggle with lately is where to keep their products. I know dropshipping is the big thing right now but I still know a lot of people that run their own distribution centers and handle their own products, and a big thing they run into is a lack of space to store products, particularly when they work out of the home.

My question then for everyone here is, does anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone else here have to have a separate place to keep their inventory, or does anyone here have to stash their inventory somewhere in their house? I'd love to hear your stories and tips, as it seems to be a problem a lot of people still run into.

To get the conversation started, I found a couple blogs about the topic recently while I was looking into it on my own:

I believe most of the companies opt for cross-docking services for quick response. Even I have the same question in mind. Waiting for people to share their stories.

Yeah I used to dropship too, but now everyone is selling the same products so I switches to print on demand. Much more easier and WAY more profitable. As long as you know what you're doing...
