For some time now I've been trying to learn all I can about search engine marketing by reading books and such, but I find myself getting more confused about which approach to take. Is it just me or do all the large businesses place emphasis on paid results (overture, adwords) while smaller businesses and the thousands of mom/pop seo companies harp on organic tactics. My bro in law works for a large advertising agency and he says they primarily push paid results management and the larger companies drool over it. I'm assuming that a mix of both is the way to go just wanted to get some input.
You are correct, a mix of the two is best, depending on one's budget. To start out, using paid advertisements until getting some rankings in the search engines is a good way to start a flow of traffic to a site. You have to make sure your paid advertisement efforts are cost effective though. You don't want to dump too much money into traffic that isn't giving back. -Brian Renner entrepreneur7
Thanks Brian. Hey, in your opinion are services like TargetedVistoris.info and others meaningful services or a waist?
