Hi I have observed that my direct traffic has moved from 3% to 70% recently. It looks like there is some reporting issue as i don't do any branding, paid campaigns like adwords etc..Most of the traffic come from search engine (organic).

I haven't made any changes to analytic account. Can you please let me know how to fix this issue?

I think your direct traffic is increased. do one thing try some another web analytics tool, like woopera. use both tools for visitor tracking and you will get exact information.

Check if your web-server (or ask your hoster if you have shared hosting) cuts some headings so javascript scripts (like Google Analytics) cannot get referrer.

i have similar behavior most paid adds on bivertizer comes as direct traffic in analytics last week. since the campaign is out of funds I can't say if still the case. but should at least be referred.

I also see on a very very low traffical site that if i search on a search engine to find my site and then comes back direct. all will be tracked as from search engine by analitics (but not chitika :D).

Check trend of 15 or 20 days and then analyze the reporting thru Google Adsense.
