Organic Product Ranking

I am looking for some basic 101 help.
I basically have a site with over 5 thousand products in a good vertical.
what I want to do is in crease our traffic by getting better organic rankings for our products. I am currently having unique product descriptions written for each product but this is a slow process. I rank for many products but not always on the 1st page in Google.

my domain is babyearth dot com.

I would love some suggestions and critiques on this site.

a good seo process like offpage and onpage optimization might work for you .. try to use google base for product uploads...

 

Probably hard to rank as Google will prefer those who concentrate on a certain product. Maybe reorganize the site so each product gets a separate page on the site? I am sure your method might work but it would take a hell of a long time to get anywhere near the 1 page.

 

You can do offpage activity as well as Google base, business listing, product listing sites like : thefind.com etc.

You should start Off-page optimizations for your site.
More over try to get some quality back links through Link building so that you can improve your site's PR.

 

Product search and organically make it happen are two different things you need to put targeted tags and keywords in your pages and if you are using feed you need to stick with your products line up.

 

Try to use attractive keywords for your pages as it will help in increasing the rank of that particular page, this is the way how I get high rankings too. You can also use a keyword tracking site, I hope it will help you.
