Since many of you already know mykeyword.com is a better domain than my-keyword.com so I had this question about what to chose. My-Keyword.com or MyKeyword.org Which one would be good to go?
if you want to use your services at commercial level then dot com is useful otherwise if you just want to give free backlinks or keyword suggestion without any cost then use dot org. That's mere suggestion !
I just want high traffic to my blog so domain should be well ranked one, it doesn't really matter that .ORG has to be an organization. What now ?
can you please explain your logic of why "mykeyword.com is a better domain than my-keyword.com" ? The first one is harder to read for humans and you have to rely on Google working out where to separate the words, sure the title and on page text should help, but neither should really rank better than each other as far as google goes? So why do you think there is a difference?
Lets say "sexy girls" is my keyword, Now I'm looking for a domain. On searching, this is what I find. SexyGirls.com is not available but SexyGirls.org is. I try another search and see. Sexy-Girls.com is available. Now I want to chose a better one as a match between sexy-girls.com and sexygirls.org, its all based at how Google interprets the dash and thats what I wanna know
This is very hard to answer because I generally go for different extensions for different types of websites. From just a rough guess of what that website would be about I would go with the .org even if the .com was available but I would also buy the .com and .net and redirect, of course that's only possible if they are all available. A hyphen in a domain name is not a bad thing but I would recommend never having more then 2, but 1 is also only if needed. I personally would just never use hyphens in a domain name because I think they are plain ugly and I know many other people that feel the same, not that it's the most important factor but a great domain name definitely is one.
