I am a newbie and I am very confused in selecting a domain name which is available in two tlds i.e. .ORG AND .BIZ ITS LIKE CURRENCYCONVERSION.ORG OR CURRENCYCONVERSION.BIZ According to the valuate, the worth of .org is 1700 USD and worth of .biz is 110 USD in that niche. I don't know, which tld will work best? According to the valuate, .org is the winner but I think .biz has more potential. Which one should I Select? Please Help me.
For starters search the forum... this is discussed before. You obviously have a plan for your site... have you written it down as a formal business plan? If not, why not? Consider who your typical site user will be. What do you know about their demographic? Will they expect a .org to be a real organisation? Will they think anything that isn't a .com is untrustworthy? Do they even notice tlds? Or are they happy just to click the link in your email newsletter? Are your users driven to your website from your real life business and the site gains credibility through that? Without knowing your demographic its impossible for us to give you a straight answer.
Agree! Not any website would suite with an extension as .org . Estibot value is only useful if you want to trade the domain name, not when you want to establish a website.
.org is the best tld for organisations, non profits, charities it's good for online or offline communities too ( forums.. ) .biz is pretty spammy IMO, I would avoid it for a currency conversion website, .com, .net. .info are more relevant
