.ORG to .COM Transfer - What is the best method for SEO?

My wife is the holder of .ORG domain and she recently got the .COM of the same domain. She now wants to transfer all the contents of .ORG to .COM, hoping the INDEX and PR will remain the same. I know that this will greatly affected her rankings ( at least temporarily).

My question is, what is the best method to transfer from the SEO point of view? If I'm going to use 301 Redirect, will it affected the .ORG when she uses it again? She has another plan for .ORG by the way.

Another question is, she's also planning to host the .COM to another provider so which is better - stay on the same host or transfer to another hosting provider?

    Thanks for any inputs.

No. .org and .com, pr are different.

If the server speed is good of that hosting change it otherwise leave as it is.

The question is short, but depending upon the current site's structure (and new structure) the process is sometimes fairly involved. Properly migrating a site to a new domain (or TLD extension) involves quite a few steps to ensure no rankings are lost in the SERPs (if any exist). You can let Google know about the migration in GWT, but that is only one of the steps to preserve any rankings. I will also add that with proper migration she will not want to use the .org for another purpose right away. Fell free to pm me if you want assistance with this. This process is involved, but generally fairly straightforward for those whom done this in the past.

I think 301 redirection is best.....or use both domains with different contents....and do seo with different keywords you will get more visitors also......

After doing everything you must let Google know about this migration from Google Webmasters Tool. Otherwise, it will affect SERP distinctly.
