.org OR .info? Which is better?

    Hi friends,
I am about to start a new website related to the biggest computer hardware/software market in Asia.
I have bought the available domains - nehruplace(dot)org and nehruplace(dot)info
I am very confused which one should I choose to build my final website?
Please advice stating the reason, why do you feel so...

The website will actually be a tech blog + contains latest hardware prices in nehruplace.

Well its okay whatever you want to choose. As long as you optimize your site and work hard to promote it.

    Helllo,

I prefer dot org domains than dot info :)

    My 2 cents,

I would go for .info as I personally dislike the .org extension.

.org is my choice though the registrar fee of .info is cheaper.

.org is for an organisation - generally charities etc in my eyes. .info is newer so might have seo implications in some algorithms. either is good probably.

I have experienced using dot info.
My blog was hard to get PR even 5 month established.
    Traffics is quite good.
My suggestion try to leave dot info

In my opinion, It's not the site but the content of the site you are trying to promote.

.org is always better. But if you want a cheap domain then you can go for .info

.org is a little more popular than .info.And they are used in different situations. .org is always used by some non-profitable organizations,
while .info is used by some infomation providing companys. It's hard to say which one is better.I think it depends on your use and you'd
better use a .com domain if it's possible.

You should go with .org only because if you choose .info its not going to help you much and even comes last in Google searches.
So, either choose .org, .net or .com
These are the only best three to choose from.

I have a few org sites and info sites as well.

All of them have a few pages and i keep adding few more consistently.

Traffic wise, they both are on the same side. Not much because I do not advertise them much. Just submission to searchengines and a little dofollow comments package now and then.

Cheaper the better, but people tend to forget .info tld often.

This is very much true. Be cautious that you do not choose the domain name of any organisation present in your vicinity or at ay place.

You may be sued later on and all your hardwork in promoting it will go by the window.

The conclusion is, no matter what the tld is, there is a considerable amount of hardwork to be done.

IMO .org would be better than .info as it .org points to the organization. So go with .org
