Suppose the .net version of a CB product is already taken up. And you're left with both .Org and .Info versions.

Which would you pick? and more importantly ... why?

org is generally associated with non-profit organizations..so I chose info because you are in fact providing information about a product ;)

info is heavily associated with spam and low quality sites no offense to any particular .info domain holders though...

I would add a small word to the .com domain and go with com.

info are associated with spam only with webmasters, regular users have no idea about that, so its not that important. And I don't believe that google makes any difference for SERP

Yeah, but like I said add a letter to the product name, or a word, for example
the domain that is taken is ClickBankProfit.com you can go with ClickBankProfits.com

Most users can read urls they click on. And after seen several .info sites with cheap design they are not inclined to click on these anymore.

At least that's my take from my friends and relatives who are general internet users.

if it is PPC I use a lot of .info and I get amazing results. I also use the technique of adding a word to the name if it is a name that gets a lot of searches like dcristo said.

for BUM marketing I use a .com. PPC gets clicks because of the ad. Articles are generally trying to establish you as someone who is an expert on a subject. Experts have .coms.

    This is my experience anyways.

.info would be great. for the $2.99 pricepoint, forward it to a blogger account or another landing page, 1,2,3 done!

I'll just go with .org the shorter the better...More memorable and the general public recognises .org better.
