.org Exact Match Domain or .com Partial Match Domain

For the purpose of this thread lets assume that both an exact match domain and a partial match domain both give a little boost in rankings vs a domain with no keywords in it (all other things being equal). So what do you think is better, an exact match .org name or a partial match .com name. There are studies out there showing that .com exact match's do better than .org exact matches, by I am wondering how a partial .com would do against an exact match .org. Does anyone know, has come across this, or done some testing?

Personally I'd take the .com purely because it's easier for returning visitors.

Honestly, there is no different between TLD's, I can rank all domain extensions the same way, neither rank better. Just choose whatever one sounds better.

But for the purpose of this thread I'm talking about pure SEO and the difference between a partial match .com and an exact match .org. All other things being equal. Not worried about whichever one sounds better. And not worried about one being easier for return visitors.

In the case, they are both the same.
The only difference is that you may need to be more strict on your link building for the exact match .org

JyeP...What do you mean by "more strict on my link building"?

If you have an Exact Match Domain and you build a whole bunch of Exact Match Anchor links you have a large chance of hitting a penalty than you would building Exact Match links to a non Exact Match Domain.
This is not to say that you definitely will, I'm simply saying there is a higher chance.

Either way, both can rank just as well as each other. The SEO benefit of an Exact Match Domain does not make it any better than a partial match domain.

With the link building, first off there will not be that much aggressive link building or marketing because it's a doctor's office. The anchor text will mainly be the name of the doctor's practice and very seldom the keywords. So do you think therefore I still have to worry about the .org emd possibly being penalized knowing these factors.
