Do you think, that .org domains are better than .us domains? (for example eshop with clothes for american people)
.org domains are fine for informational sites and non-profit orgs... but for anything commercial, I would stay away.
If you're geared TOWARDS a US audience and you're planning on using USA related graphics and design, then by all means, use the .us extension. I think it'd add another element to your site. However, if you're just doing any old site and you're debating between the two, go with the .org. Just figure out how to make the site look and sound like an "organization" rather than a store front. I dislike .us everyone associates .com with the US. If I was to choose between .org/.us I'd go with the .org
Anyway, dot org is TLD. but just as hyjinx427 said, if your target market is located in US, that will be another situation.
Def .org is a better extention. There are plenty of large developed ecommerce or product related websites on the internet that probably do millions of dollars of business. Some of them have .org because .com and .net extention is taken by some one who has a simple parked page or sometimes even nothing at all and I have seen that plenty. .US is an ok extention but not very successful. If you read the top domainers blogs then you will find out that the only best extentions are .com, .net and .org. So I would def go with .org..... I know a huge travel related website that is .org extention because the .com and .net are only parked pages. The dude makes plenty of money and has a memberships of 100,000 and growing everyday by over a 100 people signing up everyday.
i just wonder, that i found some good KW (associated for example with clothes) and .org were taken, but .us are free (i'm orientated on our local domain scene with our ccTLD, i don't know much about .us, so i'm interested, how big is difference between .us and .org)
if you are using it for free business, of course you can choose free domains, but the other condition, if you want to use it to make some benefit, i will recommend dot org.
