Have anyone noticed that .org and .net rank much better than .com recently?I just pick a keywork at random and get mainly .org and .net in the first three SERP.

Its on the content !! Not on the extension ... if you have a site worth coming #1 on .org you will !!

The extension does not play a role.

The .org may simply have more backlinks with targetted anchor text, better on page optimisation in terms of title and keyword density, age on its side, etc.

I agree, it does not matter which extension, if it were that easy, no one would buy anything buy Nets and Orgs

No relationship whatsoever. Anyone can buy a .org domain and stuff it with porno materials.

I dont think that .org and .net will rank any higher than .com on the bases of extensions.

domain extensions dont matter... the things matter are: backlinks and content of your site.

I don't have an idea about .net, but Google does seem to prefer .org

.org are more often than real organistions with plenty content. Google loves content. Personally, I don't think the domain extension has anything to do with getting better search engine results.

    agree :D

But in general matter, I think the extensiton don't have much effects. But I think .org .com etc will rank better than .info

If a site is well optimized and it has lots of quality backlinks it will rank well regardless of the extension
whether it's .com .org or .net.

Do not think the extension matters comes down to content and links etc. I would though like to see some more indepth info on this though as I have seen at times the .orgs and .edu rate very well even with the sites are not great.

I guess also with this do you think .com.au sites rate better than .com sites in google.com.au at times they do, at times they do not.

There are so many spams using a .com domian extension. Somehow, .net site usually have better contents

There are no relation between domain extensions and ranking effect. Focus on your quality both links and contents and your ranking will be risen with whatever domain extension you are using.
