we know that .com is the most expensive, oldest, sought after but .org and .net may someday be just as sought after seeing it is that there are a limited number of .coms. if i had capitol ($$$) i think i would be buying .orgs and .nets like crazy. what do you guys think?
.net and .com are actually the same age. .NET, yes... to some extent. I have a formula on when to purchase .nets... and .org... not worth it unless it really fits the .organization TLD.
As per the statistics taken on April, 21 2008. .COM Newly registered domains: 2,110,004 (registered/renewed between Apr 14 to 21) Deleted Domains: 1,789,053 Total Domains: 75,249,365 .NET Newly registered domains: 400,953 (registered/renewed between Apr 14 to 21) Deleted Domains: 175,787 Total Domains: 11,472,030 So as per the statistics, .COM domains are the most popular. However, .Net is the good alternative for those who do not have .COM domains.
