Something weird happened to me today. I have 3 ordered products from 8 clicks on Amazon, but none of them shipped so I don't have any commission from them. Anyone know what that's about? How can people order things and I don't get commission from them? Geez, as if there weren't enough barriers to making a commission. Any thoughts?
If they were shipped they were probbaly refunded, Amazon has to refund fees etc so affiliate gets nothing. Works the same on the likes of clickbank
Also items ordered from a 3rd party sometimes take longer to register in the system, commission wise.
Actually, that is not true. Most 3rd party items show as shipped the day they are ordered. Then, if the 3rd party seller doesn't have the item (it happens), the commission is taken away. When Amazon is not filling the order, they process the credit card immediately. Items sold by Amazon itself will show as shipped (i.e., on your earnings report) when they actually do ship; Amazon does the credit card capture on the day of shipment. That can be same day (rare), a few days, or weeks or months. Or never if they are cancelled before they ship or if the credit card fails. Unfortunately, Amazon does not detect credit card issues at order time, so the affiliate loses out. The customer is told to re-order and will almost never return to your site to do so.
Hi,,newostar! Dont panic,,n b patient.......... Your commission will b given to u wen products will b shipped to specific customers..,
I don't know anything about it, but I can understand that you wouldn't get a commission until the item is shipped.
